Collaborative research with the University of Newcastle, Austrailia

Ostick + Williams (O+W) Architects, together with University of Newcastle (UON), Australia, successfully received funding through the CAESIE (Connecting Australian European Science and Innovation Excellence) Programme towards further research into BIM in the context of building resilience and disaster recovery. During a recent business trip to UON by O+W, Ken Geary (Director) presented ‘Building Information Modelling for building resilience in small and medium architectural firms’ at their annual Building Resilience Seminar. This event was also attended by Marc Tracey (BIM Manager). The gathering proved to be very informative and both parties are excited to continue ongoing collaborative research.
